Shopping on Capri island<\/a> is a great experience!\u00a0The most famous shopping street in Capri is Via Camerelle, which branches off the famous Piazzetta Umberto I. Here, you have one boutique next to the other with designer fashion like Armani, Versace, and Valentino.<\/p>\n

Carthusia: The\u00a0perfume of Capri<\/h4>\n

The factory produces perfumes, perfumed candles, and bath oils made from all the different kinds of Capri\u2019s flowers with melodic names like \u201cCaprissimo\u201d or \u201cAria di Capri\u201d.
\nLegend has it that in 1380, the prior of the monastery was surprised by the news of an impending visit of Queen Joan I of Naples. He prepared large flower bouquets with the most beautiful flowers of Capri. When, after three days, he wanted to throw them away, he noticed the wonderful smell of the water and he called the alchemist, who discovered the origin of the fragrance in the \u201cGarofilium Silvestre Caprese\u201d, which became Capri\u2019s first perfume. In 1948, the formula was rediscovered and it was given to a chemist who owned the world\u2019s smallest laboratory called \u201cCarthusia\u201d. To this day, the method of producing the perfume is the same one the Carthusian monks once used.<\/p>\n

Mariorita Store: exklusive brands<\/h4>\n

It is the largest boutique on Capri with fashion articles of the most famous designers Armani, Versace, Valentino, Escada, Moschino, and Missoni. You also find porcelain from Capodimonte, wood furniture with inlay carvings, and coral jewelry.<\/p>\n

La Parisienne<\/h4>\n

La Parisienne has been at the Piazzetta since 1906. You can get fashion from well-known designers and the famous Capri pants. It is possible to order these articles online. The store in the Via Vittorino Emanuele carries fashion by the designer Roberto Cavalli.<\/p>\n

Limoncello di Capri: Liqueur shopping<\/h4>\n

The shop sells Limoncello, the famous lemon liqueur from the Costiera Sorrentina<\/a> and Amalfi Coast<\/a>, which is made based on an old recipe. People prefer to drink the very refreshing liqueur well chilled. There is another shop in Anacapri.<\/p>\n
