When you are in Naples you should take a walk\u00a0on the wonderful\u00a0beach promenade, from the enchanting Marina Santa Lucia to the little port of Mergellina.\u00a0The panoramas of Mount Vesuvius, Capri and Ischia\u00a0remain unforgettable! <\/strong><\/p>\n

A\u00a0walk on the seafront promenade (“lungomare”) in Naples<\/a>, Italy,\u00a0is a\u00a0classic sunday excursion\u00a0of the Neapolitan people.<\/p>\n

Via Partenope\u00a0with its exklusive hotels\u00a0is the beginning of the delightful seafront road, where Castel dell\u2019Ovo (“egg castle”)\u00a0rises on an island that is connected to the mainland. From the castle, you have a fantastic view of the Mount Vesuvius<\/a> as well as the quarters Mergellina and Posillipo<\/a>. At the picturesque marina you find excellent restaurants and bars.<\/p>\n

Via Partenope In Naples<\/p><\/div>\n

A little further, Villa Comunale, a big park with palm trees, chalets, and beautiful fountains, extends along the famous seafront road, Via Caracciolo. If you are interested, you can visit the zoological station, Aquarium Dohrn, which is Europe\u2019s oldest aquarium.<\/p>\n

The walk along the seashore to the touristic port of Mergellina is very romantic<\/h4>\n

Close by the harbour, fishermen sell their freshly caught fish. At the end of Via Caracciolo, pretty chalets invite you to have a cocktail while you are enjoying the sea view.<\/p>\n

On some weekends\u00a0the antique fair, Fiera Antiquaria Napoletana<\/a>, takes place in the mornings.<\/p>\n

How to reach the Seashore of Naples<\/h4>\n

Beautiful: By walk from the big port Molo\u00a0Beverello in Napoli (Metro Line 1 Piazza Municipio), then cross\u00a0Teatro San Carlo and Piazza Plebiscito. Walk in the direction of the seafront to Via Partenope.
