The wonderful region of Cilento extends south of Naples between Sapri and Paestum, in the southern part of the province of Salerno.
Cilento has a beautiful coastline with long sandy beaches and charming bays. It surprises by varied landscapes, a large diversity of animals and plants, as well as the dark blue, clean sea.
Cilento has been the centre of many important greek colonies, like Velia and Paestum, but also the place for myts and legends. The UNESCO designated the Cilento National Park as a World Heritage Site and it is an important tourist area of Italy.
